Our client, a highly regarded law firm specializing in family law, is seeking a Junior Paralegal to support its litigation team. What You'll Be Doing

Under the guidance of attorneys and senior paralegals, the Junior Paralegal will play an integral role in litigation support and client service. Duties include:

• Drafting legal documents such as memos, pleadings, motions, and orders
• Assisting in preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials
• Electronic and physical filing of pleadings with court systems
• Managing case calendars and legal deadlines
• Coordinating correspondence with courts, opposing counsel, and clients
• Assisting with discovery and document production
• Maintaining well-organized and accurate client files
• Tracking and entering billable time
• Supporting firm operations with a proactive, team-first mindset

Note: This position is strictly non-attorney and must comply with rules prohibiting the unauthorized practice of law. All tasks must be performed under direct attorney supervision.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Background:

• At least 2 years of post-secondary education required
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred
• Prior law firm or legal administrative experience strongly preferred (2+ years ideal)

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Clear, professional communication - written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and accountability for deadlines
• Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; minimum typing speed of 60 WPM
• Familiar with electronic filing systems and legal calendaring tools
• Investigative abilities using online tools and social media (as directed)

To succeed in this role, you'll demonstrate:

• 60+ billable hours logged monthly
• 99% of assigned tasks completed on time
• No substantiated client complaints
• Fewer than 3 unplanned absences in a 90-day rolling period
• High realization rate on billable hours (target: 95%+)
