Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant

What you’ll do
- Donation & Receipt Processing: Perform daily input of Kindful receipts into the ERP system, enter checks into both Kindful and ERP systems, and set up new projects.
- Account Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements, fundraising activities, and student donation PEP sheets monthly.
- Credit Card & Expense Coding: Obtain American Express backup monthly and code expenses by team.
- Banking & Reporting: Execute remote deposit captures for checks, log them into systems, and distribute weekly reports to team leaders.
- Donor & Departmental Support: Reach out via email to education donors twice annually, maintain accurate contact records, enter incoming applications, and support the Senior Accountant with special projects.
What you need
- Education: Associate Degree.
- Experience: Seasoned accounting/bookkeeping experience with a consistent, strong work history.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and dependable execution.
Nice to have: Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.
