Armed Security Guard – Dallas, TX We are seeking a qualified Armed Security Guard to protect the Loves Travel Stop at 8800 S. Polk St., Dallas, TX 75241. The position requires a valid Texas Security License, a personal firearm (9 mm, .45 or equivalent semi‑automatic), and prior armed guard experience. The role will be on a fixed off‑hour shift: Wednesday 12 p.m. – 8 a.m., Thursday 6 p.m. – 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday 8 p.m. – 7 a.m. Compensation is $20.00 per hour, paid biweekly. Qualifications Minimum age 21 years for armed positions. Hold a valid Texas Level 3 Armed Security License. High school diploma or equivalent. Own a personal firearm suitable for this role. Previous armed guard experience. Successful completion of a background investigation. Drug screen clearance. All offers are contingent upon the ability to provide required security certification, pass drug and background checks, obtain E‑Verification, complete onboarding, and be approved by the site manager. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, patrolling locations, and preserving order. Enforce client site regulations and directives regarding personnel, visitors, and the area. Provide exceptional customer service and information to client employees and visitors. Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations. Conduct random and scheduled patrols, adapting to varying environmental conditions.
