Position Summary

The Director provides leadership, regulatory oversight, and program supervision at Tiny Treasures University. This role ensures full compliance with Department of Health regulations, maintains high-quality early childhood programming, and oversees staff documentation, operational logistics, and leadership support across both schools.

The Director works closely with the Owner, Director of Tiny Treasures Academy, and the office manager to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Oversee educational programming and curriculum implementation
• Ensure classrooms follow developmentally appropriate practices aligned with center philosophy
• Conduct classroom observations and provide guidance on program quality
• Maintain consistency between both locations while supporting each program's needs
  

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with NYC Department of Health Article 47 regulations
• Serve as the primary point of contact with DOH consultants and regulatory agencies
• Oversee incident reports, safety plans, inspection preparation, and licensing documentation
• Maintain policies and procedures required for licensing and regulatory standards
  

Staff Leadership

• Support staff hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Guide staff professional development and training opportunities
• Foster a collaborative and supportive workplace culture
  

Staff Records & Compliance Management

• Maintain and oversee staff personnel files including clearances, fingerprinting, SCR, medicals, and training certificates
• Track staff certification and training expiration dates
• Ensure all required staff documentation meets DOH regulations
• Maintain organized systems for staff compliance across both schools
  

Operational Logistics

• Oversee staff scheduling and ensure classrooms maintain required ratios
• Monitor staff attendance, PTO requests, and schedule adjustments
• Ensure staffing coverage across both locations
• Coordinate leadership communication between programs
  

Strategic Planning

• Develop long-term plans for enrollment growth, staffing, and program development
• Support the owner in financial and operational planning
• Identify opportunities for program improvement and expansion
  

Family & Community Relations

• Maintain strong relationships with families across both schools
• Address escalated family concerns or complex situations
• Coordinate major school announcements, reminders, and newsletter
• Represent Tiny Treasures within the community
