Position Overview

Deaconess Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages who are recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries. Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our outpatient office located in Alexandria, Virginia. Our clinic is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies to facilitate effective treatments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize various therapeutic methods such as exercise programs, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout treatment, making adjustments to plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and techniques for rehabilitation, as well as the use of assistive devices like walkers or braces.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Stay current with physical therapy advancements by attending educational workshops, engaging in continuous learning, and maintaining professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team services a diverse patient population, including children and adults with conditions ranging from orthopedic injuries to neurological disorders. You will work closely with each patient to ensure that their therapeutic goals are met, catering to individual needs and recovery timelines. We focus on delivering personalized care, fostering a supportive relationship with our clients to enhance their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and team members.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills for documentation and treatment planning.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Experience with outpatient therapy or specialized training in specific therapeutic modalities is a plus.
• Any background in pediatric or geriatric therapy would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
