As our Business Development Representative you will oversee the development and execution of our sales strategy; developing third‑party relationships that generate referral business for ROCKCREST. This is not a transactional lead‑gen role — it's a relationship building role. You'll spearhead net‑new relationships within highly targeted channels, introducing our service and building trust with specific points of contact at partner organizations over the long term: HCM & HR software companies, employee insurance brokerages, VC and holding companies, and CPA firms. What you’ll do Spearhead the development of net‑new strategic relationships across our core channels. Engage and sell to a range of stakeholders up to C‑level within partner and client organizations (ranging from ~100–10,000 employees). Work existing outreach campaigns built through our marketing team while developing your own. Supplement campaign outreach with cold calling where appropriate. Contribute to developing and refining the ongoing partnership/campaign strategy — this role has real input into how we build and evolve the playbook, not just execute it. Qualify and nurture relationships that convert into a steady referral pipeline for ROCKCREST's consulting services. Capture and maintain accurate activity, notes, and relationship status in CRM. Work pre‑built campaigns and ZoomInfo data, targeting priority partner segments. Make outbound and cold calls to open new relationships. Meet virtually with leads and relationship contacts to build and deepen relationships. Help shape and test new angles for partner campaigns and messaging. Working towards leadership This is more than a business development role—it's a leadership opportunity. As you build your client portfolio, contribute to our growth, and establish a track record of success, you'll play an increasingly important role in shaping our long‑term sales strategy. You'll have the opportunity to recruit, mentor, and lead Business Development Representatives, helping to build and scale our sales function. Over the next 2–3 years, we envision this role evolving into Head of Sales, with responsibility for leading multiple BDR teams, driving sales strategy, and helping shape the future growth of ROCKCREST. Required skills & experience Prior experience selling up to C‑level stakeholders. Strong written communication and outbound sequencing skills; ability to craft persona‑focused messaging for different partner types. Organized, disciplined and data‑driven. A self‑starter excited to shape and scale the BDR strategy, with room to grow and eventually mentor a team. Ability to work in the office two days per week (Monday and Thursday). Nice‑to‑haves Background selling to HR leadership, HCM software vendors, employee insurance brokers or PEOs. Prior experience selling to the mid‑market (100–10,000 employees). Knowledge of HR terminology and projects.
