About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development of a proactive smart assistant with a focus on AI-native, high-reliability, and real-world task completion. The CTO will be responsible for owning the technology strategy, architecture, and engineering standards across the group, with a hands-on approach to technical leadership. This role demands a deep software engineering background, strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems, as well as experience in making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams. The successful candidate will be tasked with setting and maintaining engineering standards for reliability, security, performance, testing, and code quality. They will also be instrumental in identifying and resolving technical debt and architecture constraints, improving engineering productivity, and recruiting and assessing senior technical talent. The ideal CTO for the company will have the ability to challenge engineering decisions at an implementation level, be capable of building world-class engineering teams, and remain technically hands-on to directly engage with code, architecture, incidents, and complex engineering problems. The role is pivotal in the company's mission to deliver a truly magical product that enhances the daily lives of its users.
