Purchasing Coordinator

Adecco is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer Assistant to support 2-4 Buyers and an AVP, Merchandise Manager in a fast-paced retail merchandising environment. This role provides administrative, purchasing, vendor communication, and operational support while serving as a key liaison between merchants, vendors, Planning & Allocation, and internal departments. Responsibilities for a Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer Assistant include but are not limited to:- Process, revise, and monitor domestic and import purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up with vendors and internal teams
- Communicate daily with 50+ vendors regarding purchase orders, allocations, shipment delays, vendor inquiries, and merchandise coordination
- Coordinate travel arrangements, vendor meetings, and market appointments for Buyers and Merchandise leadership
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, sample tracking systems, and filing processes to support merchandising operations and weekly spend analysis
- 2+ years of Previous Buyer or Purchasing Assistant experience
- Merchandising and retail buying support experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- High attention to detail with experience handling purchase orders, data entry, reporting, and cross-functional coordination
- Pay: $ 23.00/hour
- Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM | Hybrid Schedule (Onsite Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
