About the Role Our client is seeking a highly proficient Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join their distributed team, working remotely and based out of Welkom. This role focuses on the development, auditing, and deployment of secure and efficient smart contracts that form the backbone of their decentralized applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts using languages like Solidity. Conduct rigorous security audits and code reviews for smart contracts to prevent vulnerabilities. Collaborate with product teams to translate business logic into functional smart contract code. Optimize smart contract performance and gas efficiency for cost-effectiveness. Contribute to the design and architecture of decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain protocols. Stay updated with the latest advancements in smart contract security and blockchain technology trends. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in smart contract development. Deep understanding of blockchain principles, distributed ledger technology, and cryptocurrency. Expertise in Solidity and experience with relevant development frameworks (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat). Strong knowledge of security best practices for smart contracts and common attack vectors.
