Mark Andy is looking for Field Service Technicians to provide on-site service to maintain and support our top-of-the-line flexographic, offset and digital printing equipment. Field Service Technicians can work in a variety of capacities, including installation, preventative maintenance, and break-fix issues, both large and small. We are looking for skilled individuals with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical repair, both within industry and those with a solid background working with industrial equipment who would like to break into this fascinating and growing industry.

Location: Mark Andy Global Headquarters, Chesterfield, Missouri.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES 

Duties and responsibilities at Mark Andy grow as you do. Field Service Technicians will have the opportunity to work on both legacy equipment as well as the most modern and technologically advanced flexographic and digital equipment as they grow throughout their careers. Assignments include:

• Install, commission, and validate Mark Andy equipment at customer sites.
• Support equipment relocation, deinstallation, reinstallation, and production validation activities.
• Utilize PLC controls, servo drives, motors, multimeters, micrometers, and diagnostic software to resolve technical issues.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, software, hardware, and printing-related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment both onsite and remotely to minimize customer downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Provide recommendations for replacement parts, upgrades, maintenance programs, and service contracts.
• Train customers in safe operation, maintenance procedures, and equipment best practices.
• Document service activities, maintenance reports, work orders, expense reports, and installation feedback accurately.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with operators, managers, and executives.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve product performance.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Operate independently in field service environments while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Weekly travel across the United States and Canada, as well as opportunities to travel internationally.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• High School Diploma and Trade School Degree or Electrical and Mechanical training preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills. Able to speak with customers of all levels (from CEOs to Press Operators).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing Mark Andy products and printing presses or equivalent industrial equipment experience.
• Ability to maintain expense reports and track receipts to submit weekly for reimbursement.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. 
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic diagrams; servo motors, drives and controls. 
• Ability to travel 100% of the time. Mark Andy puts priority on having our technicians at home on the weekends but travelling Monday through Friday most often will be out of the technician’s home area. 
• Preference will be given to candidates in Missouri / Saint Louis area with direct experience installing and troubleshooting digital high-definition, offset and/or flexographic printing presses. These issues can include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, network, software, and hardware relevant to overall press control, print issues and digital printing. 
• Knowledge of digital ink jet printing systems (heads, inking systems, alignments, software controls, etc.), offset or direct flexo field experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and move about facilities. Work typically requires the use of PPE. Work is regularly performed on the production floor. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility’s production floor or customer’s production environment.
