Job Summary:
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse position available in San Leandro, California. This role involves providing specialized maternal and newborn care, including electronic fetal monitoring, high-risk medication administration, and neonatal assessments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: San Leandro, California
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience; Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring; demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws; demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin); demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing; demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing; demonstrated knowledge of IStat; demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring; demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring; demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborn; demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance; demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights; demonstrated knowledge of radiant warmers; demonstrated knowledge to support gyn teaching & post-operative bladder training; demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field; minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience; minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience; minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
