Job Summary:
An Operating Room registered nurse is needed in Castro Valley, California. This position involves managing and coordinating professional nursing care for surgical patients, providing specialized treatment, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Candidates are required to bring their California registered nurse license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Castro Valley, California
• Schedule: Days shift; minimum of 40 hours per week, 8 hours per shift
• Required Qualifications: Valid State License (California RN License), Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, Epic charting system experience preferred, at least 1 year of travel experience, at least 2 years of specialized operating room experience in general, orthopedic, vascular, trauma, and neurological surgeries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience, trauma level I or II experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience.
• Additional Information: The role entails working with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hysterectomies, amputations, arthroscopy, and cardiovascular surgeries. Responsibilities include scrubbing or circulating surgical cases, maintaining professional standards, and handling emergency or crisis situations. The unit offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy.
