Job Description Tool & Die Maker Athen, AL Day Shift Monday - Friday $30/hr - $38/hr based on experience Qualifications You must have at least 3 years of experience in Tool and Die. Tool and Die Fabrication Experience in designing, building, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other components used in manufacturing. Precision Machining Proficiency with CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment to create high-precision parts. Blueprint Reading and Interpretation Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to guide the manufacturing process. Material Selection and Processing Knowledge of different materials (metals, alloys, etc.) and their properties, as well as experience in heat treating, welding, and surface finishing. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Skill in diagnosing and solving issues related to tool wear, production defects, and machine malfunctions. Quality Control and Inspection Experience in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to ensure parts meet exact specifications and standards. Maintenance and Repair Ability to maintain, repair, and adjust tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Safety and Compliance Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to the operation of machinery and handling of materials in a manufacturing environment. Process Improvement Experience in identifying opportunities for improving manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency. Team Collaboration Ability to work closely with engineers, production teams, and other machinists to ensure successful project completion.
