Job Description As a Security Officer Terminal Screening in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 AM - 05:30 PMTue09:00 AM - 05:30 PMFri09:00 AM - 05:30 PMSat09:00 AM - 05:30 PMSun09:00 AM - 05:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Screen individuals and authorized items entering the government location using assigned screening equipment and established procedures. Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas, and communicate access concerns to designated personnel. Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. A guard card or license is required. Be at least 21+ years of age for role. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
