This role is responsible for administering semi-monthly payroll processes, supporting retirement and employee administration activities, and ensuring employees receive timely and accurate payroll support. By combining precision, accountability, and strong customer service, this position directly supports employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance across the organization.How you’ll make an impact:Payroll Administration & ProcessingProcess semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely for salaried employeesServe as backup for biweekly payroll processingSupport quarterly bonus payroll processing and related auditing activitiesPerform payroll auditing and reporting to ensure accuracy and complianceMaintain employee payroll records, deductions, and earnings information within UKGAssist with year-end payroll administration activities, including W-2 preparation support and reconciliationProcess employee terminations and payroll-related updates in UKGSupport payroll tax filing and compliance requirementsRetirement & Benefits AdministrationSupport 401(k) reconciliation and retirement plan administration activitiesAssist with 401(k) loan administration and employee inquiriesSupport retirement plan audits, including 401(k) and ESOP audit preparationProvide backup support for benefits administration and open enrollment activitiesAssist employees with payroll and benefit-related questions and issues resolutionEmployee Data & HR Systems SupportMaintain accurate employee documentation and payroll recordsUpdate and audit employee profiles and payroll data within HRIS systemsEnsure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and company policiesSupport payroll-related reporting and workforce data requestsAssist with continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll processes and systemsCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and internal company policiesMaintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee informationSupport internal and external audit requests related to payroll and employee dataAssist with documentation and reporting requirements tied to payroll and retirement plansSkills you’ll need:5–10+ years of payroll administration experience with multi-state payroll processing, payroll auditing, HRIS/payroll systems administration, retirement plan support, and employee payroll supportExperience processing semi-monthly payroll and working within UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systemsStrong understanding of payroll processes, payroll taxes, wage and hour compliance, and audit readinessStrong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage payroll deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities effectivelyStrong communication and customer service skills with the ability to professionally support employees and leadersAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretionStrong proficiency in payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and HRIS platformsHere’s what will set you apart:Experience in an employee-owned (ESOP) organizationCPP certification or payroll-related certificationsExperience supporting retirement plan audits and reconciliation activitiesBackground supporting benefits administration and open enrollment activitiesTrack record of identifying process improvements and increasing payroll efficiencyThe Rewards:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(K) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageEmployer Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayCareer Development OpportunitiesAbout AWCAs employee co-owners, we’re driven to do more than complete tasks; we build fulfilling careers by challenging assumptions and continually raising the bar.
