The Nineteenth Judicial District Court is one of Louisiana’s 42 state judicial districts and has original jurisdiction of all civil and criminal matters in East Baton Rouge Parish.There are fifteen elected judges (Division A through Division O) in the 19th JDC and four appointed commissioners. About the role Under the general direction of the Judicial Administrator and the Finance Director, the Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks to support the finance department. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Generate financial reports and assist with audits as needed. Handle data entry and maintain accounting databases Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Proficiency in QuickBooks Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in governmental or public sector finance, financial reporting. Federal and State Grant management experience, including federal and state funding streams. Experience with Netsuite by Oracle Salary $60,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
