About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to serve as its senior-most accounting executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity, timeliness, and strategic value of all accounting and financial reporting across the platform. This includes overseeing property, construction, corporate, and fund accounting, as well as treasury, tax, and external audit relationships. The role demands a leader with a builder's mindset, capable of assessing, restructuring, and expanding the accounting function to meet the scale and sophistication of the organization. Key responsibilities encompass property and fund-level accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, and the VP will be expected to drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and systems. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 8 years' in real estate, and hold an active CPA license. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily, commercial real estate, or real estate private equity, and a proven track record of leading and scaling teams. Technical proficiency in real estate accounting platforms and experience with external audits, GAAP financial statements, and institutional LPs is essential. The role requires a leader with operational discipline, a player-coach orientation, and a focus on people leadership and communication. The VP will also be expected to demonstrate high personal integrity, institutional polish, and an entrepreneurial fit, and to represent the accounting function in executive leadership discussions and investor interactions.
