Schedule | Retreats and intensives often run Friday–Sunday, so this role includes some weekend work. 

The opportunity 

Our co-facilitators are the heart of the guest experience. You will host retreats and workshops alongside a fellow facilitator, create a safe and welcoming container for every group, and guide guests through the Rooted Oaks curriculum with warmth and skill.

What you’ll do 

• Co-lead retreats, workshops, and day programs, delivering the Rooted Oaks curriculum as designed. 
• Create and hold a safe, emotionally attuned container — setting the tone, establishing group agreements, and helping guests feel welcome and settled. 
• Guide guests through experiential activities, reflection, group discussion, and time on the land. 
• Coordinate closely with your co-facilitator, support staff, wellness practitioners, and clinicians so each day runs smoothly. 
• Notice when a guest may need more support and loop in the on-site clinician or retreat lead. 
• Prepare ahead of each retreat by reviewing curriculum materials, the schedule, and guest information. 
• Help with set-up, transitions, and closing of each program, and share brief notes and feedback afterward. 

What you bring 

• 3+ years of experience leading groups, retreats, workshops, or experiential programs. 
• A background in counseling, coaching, education, social work, ministry, wellness, or a related helping field. 
• Comfort teaching from an established curriculum while staying present and responsive to the group. 
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and healthy group dynamics. 
• Experience in nature-based, adventure, or equine-assisted programming is a plus (no horse experience required). 
• Current CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain). 

Good to know 

• Co-facilitators lead the program experience; this role does not include overnight on-call clinical duties. 
• Full-day programs are staffed with two co-facilitators, so you will always have a partner in the room.
