Position Summary:

Our organization, in collaboration with a leading medical school, is on the lookout for a full-time general physiatrist who specializes in Cancer Rehabilitation to join our expanding department.

The role involves delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services tailored to patients with various cancer diagnoses, both before, during, and after their treatment journey.

The selected candidate will engage in consultative and outpatient services at our cancer center, collaborating with a vibrant community of healthcare professionals and researchers dedicated to cancer care within our institution.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess a keen interest in managing both inpatient and outpatient care for patients facing cancer and related medical challenges. We provide avenues for teaching, research, and leadership opportunities.

• Must be board certified or eligible in PM&R, showcasing strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership abilities.
• Fellowship training in cancer rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Clinical and academic track positions are available, supported by excellent staff and facilities.
• Must hold a current Pennsylvania medical license or be eligible to obtain one.

Additional Qualifications:

• For an Associate Professor appointment, a minimum of 5 years of experience and a record of scholarly contributions in research, teaching, or administrative roles is typically required.
• For a full Professor appointment, at least 10 years of experience and evidence of a distinguished reputation in the field are generally necessary.
• Scholarly productivity is essential for tenure track positions, including teaching, academic service, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a successful history of securing funding. A strong record of independent scholarship is crucial for tenure conferral.
