DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer you will help develop critical tools and get them into the hands of those who need them most. You will help streamline the software development lifecycle, incorporate open‑source tools, automation, and cloud resources to reduce tedious tasks, and implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing. Responsibilities Streamline the software development lifecycle from requirements to production monitoring. Incorporate open‑source tools, automation, and cloud resources to reduce manual tasks. Work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery. Build and maintain tools that support mission‑for‑war impact and future transformation. You Have 2+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and releasing across environments. 2+ years of experience automating CI/CD pipelines. 2+ years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning with tools. 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools. Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative environment. Experience with hosting applications on commercial cloud providers. Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms and tools. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III certification within 30 days of hire date. Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree. Nice if You Have Experience automating infrastructure provisioning with tools, including CloudFormation or Terraform. Experience automating CI/CD pipelines with tools, including Jenkins or GitLab. Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Gradle, or NPM. Experience with hosting applications on commercial cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Linux Shell script. Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks. Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to open‑source and commercial tools in public cloud environments. Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by factors including location, experience, skills, and contract requirements.
