Staff Accountant

Our client is a manufacturing organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and has high attention to detail. This company offers a collaborative culture and professional growth & development opportunities. This position is onsite. The salary for this position is $60K - $68K. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close. Assist with processing accounts payable, with an immediate focus on helping clean up the AP backlog and supporting non-PO AP activity. Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close processes, reporting, and related accounting support. Support sales tax filings, collections processes, and implementation of new credit card and expense management solutions. Contribute to process improvement, automation, and systems implementation efforts while gaining exposure to analytical accounting and cost analysis over time. The Staff Accountant will possess the following: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 2+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support. Degree is not required; candidates without a degree should have 4+ years of relevant accounting experience. Comfortable working in a smaller company environment, supporting both clerical accounting tasks and broader accounting responsibilities as needed.
