The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort is here to create and deliver fun and escapism for our guests, and serving excellent food is at the very heart of that. With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are looking for energetic and welcoming individuals with strong customer service skills to host at our busy lakeside Landshark Bar & Grill.

Pay $15.00 per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Reports to: Landshark Restaurant Manager

As a Landshark Restaurant Host, you will warmly welcome the guests and manage the seating of the guests to ensure service is flowing smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner, provide silverware and appropriate menus, and advise of any daily specials.
• Seat guests in appropriate sections and fairly to all servers.
• Answer the telephone after no more than three rings, including to go orders.
• Responsible for retail stock.
• Handle closing of guest transactions in restaurant and room services, close out register, and balance out cash for shift.
• Set up host stand with menus, blank checks, cash trays, register tape, change, etc. Check tables to ensure proper set up for each shift.
• Check guest tables to ensure guest service and food quality are satisfactory and up to Driftwood and hotel standards.
• Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• Use proper etiquette guidelines for seating guests.
• Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
• Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Ability to accurately use various office software.

Qualifications

Personal Skills

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort policies and procedures.

• Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
• Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
• Consistently maintain positive demeanor.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
• Adheres to Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort uniform, grooming and appearance standards.
• Conducts him/herself professionally at all times.

• Relevant training and experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum lifting/pulling of 20 pounds.
• Being on feet for an entire shift, possibly 8 hours or more.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, writing, typing.
