Position Description Permanent Full Time Warehouse Sit Down Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois Ryder is immediately hiring for this role. Pay Base pay: $21.00 per hour 3% increase after 1 year Overtime Pay: $31.50 per hour Shift Differentials: Up to $4 per hour depending on shift Schedule A: Sun‑Tues 5a–4:30p and Wed 5a–10:45a B: Sun‑Tues 5p‑4:30a and Wed 5p–10:45p C: Wed 11a‑4:45p and Thur‑Sat 5a‑4:30p D: Wed 11p–4:45a and Thur‑Sat 5p–4:30a Equipment Products Handled: Food products Equipment: Electric sit down forklifts, reach truck, and RF scanners Benefits Weekly pay On the Job Paid Training Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K start at 30 Days Paid Time Off 401K company match 15% Employee Stock Discount Employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, cell phones, travel and more Safety gear provided Safety first priority State of the Art Equipment and Caring Leadership Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred Valid Forklift Operator's License Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work within a diverse work environment Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization Highly thorough and dependable Must be punctual and have a good attendance record Performs work independently with minimal supervision Possess a high degree of initiative Demonstrates high level of accuracy, even under pressure Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work using health and safety methods Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various shifts Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks Responsible for day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.) Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to automated packing system during core shift hour of production Performs other duties as assigned Ryder is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free workplace.
