Warehouse Forklift Operator First Shift

Position Description Permanent full‑time Warehouse Sit‑Down Forklift Operator at Ryder in Wilmington, Illinois. Compensation Base pay: $21.00 per hour 3% increase after 1 year Overtime pay: $31.50 per hour Shift differentials: up to $4 per hour depending on shift Schedule A: Sun‑Tues 5:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Wed 5:00 a.m.–10:45 a.m. B: Sun‑Tues 5:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. and Wed 5:00 p.m.–10:45 p.m. C: Wed 11:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m. and Thu‑Sat 5:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. D: Wed 11:00 p.m.–4:45 a.m. and Thu‑Sat 5:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Operate in accordance with performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks. Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading). Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Valid forklift operator's license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Team player who can work within a diverse environment. Highly thorough and dependable. Good attendance record and punctual. Initiative and high accuracy, even under pressure. Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
