Senior Human Resources Manager

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a premier automotive technology leader in Ann Arbor, MI area to identify and evaluate a Senior Manager, Human Resources. About the Role: Step into a high-impact HR leadership position where you will drive operational excellence, modernize HR practices, and build a strong, engaged HR team that directly supports business success in a dynamic, global R&D environment. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with leadership, elevate HR capabilities, and deliver strategic value through hands‑on operations and cross‑functional collaboration. What You Will Do: Provide overall leadership and oversight of HR operations including talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational restructuring, compensation, policies, and rewards/disciplinary processes. Strengthen the HR team’s organizational capability, professional depth, culture, engagement, and emotional well‑being. Drive modernization of HR processes, policies, systems, and operating models to meet evolving organizational needs. Manage multiple HR workstreams with structured tracking, timely executive reporting, and direct escalation of critical issues to the CHRO. Partner with global headquarters on urgent directives while ensuring alignment with local practices and compliance. Lead employee relations, performance management, and strategic initiatives to foster a positive, high‑performing workplace. What You Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams of 10 or more. Broad, hands‑on expertise across HR operations (talent acquisition, workforce management, executive HR, restructuring) at major U.S. corporate / headquarters environments. Proven ability to modernize HR ways of working, processes, systems, and models while delivering clear, accountable decisions. Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and experience with HRIS systems (SAP/SuccessFactors preferred) and data reporting tools. Preferred background in automotive or technology‑driven industries with willingness to travel up to 1-2 times per quarter.
