Enterprise AI Research Engineer

Act as a forward-deployed research partner embedded inside enterprise AI workflows, working directly with domain experts and client teams to uncover real-world failure modes, design targeted evaluations and datasets, run rapid experiments, and drive measurable improvements in system behavior and robustness.

• Embed within enterprise AI deployments as a research collaborator, partnering with domain experts and client engineering teams.
• Surface, formalize, and prioritize failure modes observed in live workflows.
• Design high-signal datasets and evaluation protocols that target identified weaknesses.
• Run tight experimental loops to validate hypotheses and quantify improvements.
• Produce clear, decision-oriented analyses of system behavior and performance.
• Develop and benchmark agentic workflows with an emphasis on robustness and scalability.
• Build lightweight tooling to support evaluation, data curation, and rapid iteration.
• Contribute to internal and external research artifacts, including reports and benchmarks.

• Master''s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• Proven judgment for research signal quality, including strong skills in data selection and evaluation design.
• Experience designing datasets and evaluation frameworks for machine learning systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous operational issues into structured research problems and experiments.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning environments and or agentic system evaluation.
• Clear, concise communicator with a bias toward actionable insight.
• Demonstrated ability to execute in fast iteration cycles and high ambiguity settings.
• Collaborative experience working across research, product, and domain teams.

Preferred

• Strong client facing experience in technical or research driven environments.
• Experience building internal research or evaluation tooling.
• Contributions to benchmarks, research publications, or open research initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise AI deployments or forward deployed research models.

• Listed compensation range for this role, $250, 000 to $500, 000 per year.
• Notice, the national pay range for base salary is $140, 000 to $180, 000 USD.
