Staff Accountant Location: Concord, NC Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site Salary: $65, 000–$75, 000 per year, depending on experience Schedule: Monday– Friday, 8: 00 AM– 5: 00 PM About the Company Our client is a well-established manufacturing company located in Concord, NC, specializing in fuel, oil, and water connection systems and electrical harnesses for the motorsports, aerospace, and other industries. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support the company' s day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP, experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable, and a background supporting U.S. Sales tax and VAT filings. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills are essential. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries Post transactions and journal entries to the general ledger Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts Process accounts payable invoices and monitor payments Manage accounts receivable, including customer payments and outstanding balances Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close processes Prepare reports and reconciliations for period-end closing Review and assist with financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, or potential issues Prepare financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements and cash flow information Maintain and follow established internal controls Assist with the preparation and filing of U.S. Sales tax returns Prepare and/or assist with VAT returns Assist with tax preparation and provide supporting documentation Support external audits by gathering requested records and documentation Maintain accurate and organized accounting files Protect confidential financial and company information Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP 2– 4 years of relevant accounting experience Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience Experience with U.S. Sales tax filings Experience with VAT returns required Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel NetSuite experience preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs Customer service experience preferred Education & Experience Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Accounting, or a related field 2– 4 years of relevant accounting experience Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable Experience with U.S. Sales tax filing and VAT returns Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life/AD&D insurance Short-term disability insurance Long-term disability insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off Work Location: In person Interested?
