About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ year Telemetry License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: 1 year Telemetry, inpatient experience, competence in drug titration Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit specific physical demands including significant bending and stooping. Assists in lifting and turning patients. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. Works with high risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, and kneeling or crouching minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
