Step into a vibrant educational community supporting a highly diverse, multilingual student body as an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity extends through the 2026-2027 school year, offering the chance to make a lasting impact in a collaborative school environment. Assignments serve students from early childhood through high school, with flexible caseload options—whether your strengths are working with PK–12, specializing in preschool, or supporting bilingual learners.
What we’re looking for:
- Active or eligible RIDE PK-12 SLP Certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP credential (Clinical Fellowship/SLPA not accepted)
- Experience with school-based assessments and therapy
- Ability to support linguistically and culturally diverse populations
- Confidence navigating AAC and assistive technology tools
- Strong communication skills for partnering with parents, classroom teachers, and special education teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapeutic services in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and progress monitoring
- Set up, manage, and troubleshoot AAC/assistive tech devices
- Advise families and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to enhance learning outcomes
- Complete documentation and maintain service records with attention to compliance
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, adapting to fluid assignments due to occasional vacancies
- Support students across all grade levels with empathy and cultural awareness
