Job Summary This position is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis. Responsibilities include coordinating and assigning patient care; functioning as a unit patient flow coordinator to facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers; coordinating unit staffing for the next shift with the Director, Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer; serving as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for staff; providing supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews; and completing established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or an advanced degree in a related field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in an equivalent unit PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years in an equivalent unit REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: National Specialty Certification Organization Description Baptist Health System has more than 120 years of history caring for our community and making a positive difference.
