Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant specializing in Cardiology and Gastroenterology to join our healthcare team in New York, NY. In this role, you will provide vital support in patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures in Cardiology and Gastroenterology departments. Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately. Conduct basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and lab sample collection. Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and ensure timely communication. Educate patients on procedures, medications, and post-visit instructions. Maintain clinical cleanliness, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Handle administrative tasks including documentation, coding, and insurance processing. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of cardiology and gastroenterology procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
