Registered Nurse - Med Surg

The Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit provides direct patient care to individuals with diverse medical and surgical conditions. This role involves monitoring patient status, administering treatments, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical needs Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment Administer medications and therapies including IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments Collaborate with physicians and teams to develop and implement patient care plans Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate EMR documentation ensuring compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid interventions as needed Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Minimum of 1–2 years nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or acute care units Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical-surgical nursing or progressive care units Strong background in cardiac and respiratory care #J-18808-Ljbffr Compunnel, Inc.
