Bartender

Join us at the Fountain Inn and help reshape the landscape of the modern tasting room! 

The Fountain Inn is a historically inclined tasting room, bar, and restaurant in the Book Hill area of Georgetown in Washington DC. 

We are currently looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about guest experience, spirits and hospitality to join our award winning team! 

Candidates must have at least two years of bartending / serving experience and should be confident in their abilities to provide exemplary service to each and every guest. 

Communication skills are a must, as is organization and professionalism.

We believe that learning and growing is quintessential to our success as an establishment and we are excited to welcome more individuals into our space to learn and grow with us. 

Bartender expectations

• Monitor guest intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Have a thorough understanding of modern and classic cocktails, and the ability to execute them from memory
• Maintain a clean working environment by not only being aware of best practices, but suggesting and implementing them as well
• Must be willing to familiarize themselves with our extensive spirits collection and beverage program and appropriately make recommendations to guests
• Apply your own experiences to a quarterly changing beverage menu
• Be aware of your own strengths and weaknesses and work alongside others
• Take direction from the Lead Bartender and Bar Director
• Ability to work from checklists and prep sheets
• Ability to scan a room and see what needs to be done and be able to put a mental priority list in place
• Work alongside management to establish and maintain a clean, healthy, efficient, and educational work environment
