Human Resources Coordinator

Overview Human Resources Coordinator William Charles Construction (a MasTec Company) is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator for its Rockford, IL office. This is an onsite position. The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resource Department. The focus of this position within the Human Resource Department is to compile, process, and maintain personnel records, and to assist in all functions of the Human Resource Department as needed, including but not limited to new hire training and recruitment. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Gather personnel records from other departments or employees. Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes; refer more complex questions to senior HR staff or management. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Provide clerical support to the HR department. Conduct or assist with new hire orientation/onboarding. Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information. Participate in recruitment efforts, post job ads, and organize resumes and job applications. Schedule job interviews and assist in the interview process. Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment. Prepare new employee files. Assist in other HR duties as assigned. Qualifications 1‑2 years of human resources experience required. 4‑Year College Degree preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and excellent organization skills. Ability to use computer applications (Microsoft Excel/Outlook) and computer systems (HRIS). Highly motivated, self‑starter and flexible.
