Generalist I, Human Resources

HR Generalist We’re looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll partner closely with plant leadership and employees to support staffing, employee relations, compliance, benefits and leave administration, onboarding, payroll support, and workforce programs. You’ll play an important role in helping us maintain a safe, compliant, and engaged hourly workforce through responsive service, accurate recordkeeping, and hands‑on HR support. Being bilingual in Spanish is a significant asset as we have a growing Spanish‑speaking workforce and will help ensure all team members’ needs are met. Responsibilities Support day‑to‑day HR services to employees and supervisors in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Maintain HRIS data and personnel files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely documentation. Apply HR policies, practices, and procedures consistently across the site. Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee communication, and wellness initiatives. Respond to employee questions and help resolve workplace concerns promptly and professionally. Support recruiting, engagement, retention, performance management, and other workforce programs. Administer leave and accommodation processes, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, STD, and LTD. Manage hourly recruiting activities, including job postings, interviews, candidate flow, and applicant tracking. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, orientation, retention efforts, and exit processes. Support payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely employee pay. Partner with staffing agencies to manage staffing levels and workforce needs. Conduct workplace investigations, elevate concerns, and support conflict resolution. Communicate updates to HR policies, procedures, and employee benefit programs. Support site safety policies and regulatory compliance, including required manufacturing safety programs. Maintain day‑to‑day HR systems, records, and administrative processes. Manage key‑access administration and auditing. Communicate employee milestones and support employee relations calendar events. Work a schedule that allows night‑shift overlap and cross‑train for backup duties. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Three years of HR support, HRIS, or related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with HR systems such as Workday, UKG, Beeline, and iCIMS is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strongly preferred skill. Strong judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, including handling sensitive employee matters. Strong customer‑service mindset and ability to remain professional in high‑pressure situations. Effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels. Strong organization, time‑management, and attention to detail, managing multiple priorities. Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with sound judgment and practical work style. Ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and employee groups.
