Position Overview

EVS Technicians are responsible for deep-cleaning non-occupied patient rooms within a 20–30 minute window. This includes disinfecting all surfaces, making beds, flipping mattresses, handling linens, and properly maintaining isolation rooms using strict safety protocols.

You'll be an essential part of keeping the hospital safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the doors.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete deep cleans of vacant patient rooms (20–30 min each)
• Make beds and flip mattresses
• Disinfect all room surfaces and high-touch areas
• Handle and dispose of linens down the chute in heavy bags
• Clean and disinfect isolation rooms following safety guidelines
• Manage soiled linen, bloody/dirty trash, and other regulated waste
• Provide excellent communication and customer service with staff and patients

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and push up to 200 lbs
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfort interacting with nurses, doctors, patients, and teammates
• 6+ months of hospital OR hotel housekeeping experience

Preferred

• Direct experience inside a hospital setting
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
