Assistant Professor / Clinical Psychologist

Assistant Professor / Clinical Psychologist Location: Portland, OR Responsibilities Provide direct assessment and treatment/intervention services for children and their families served by Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, particularly the Cleft and Craniofacial (CCF) Clinic and the Child Development and Rehabilitation Clinics (CDRC). Lead clinical program development and quality‑improvement activities within the multidisciplinary CCF and CDRC clinics. Conduct and/or participate in clinical research and community service that supports the mission of the Division of Psychology, the Institute on Development and Disability (IDD), and the Department of Pediatrics. Provide instruction to pre‑doctoral psychology interns participating in an American Psychological Association accredited internship program. Offer consultation to the community, patients, and hospital staff of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in psychology with specialization in child psychology. Experience working with infants, children, adolescents, and/or young adults with medical and neurodevelopmental conditions. Ability to complete a wide variety of standardized and non‑standardized evaluation activities, including developmental assessment of infants and young children (e.g., Bayley Scales of Infant Development). Experience working in a hospital and/or academic medical center setting as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated excellence in research, education, and clinical care. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in psychology with specialization in child psychology, preferably pediatric psychology. Background in children with disabilities/special health care needs, including pediatric psychology and/or pediatric neuropsychology, and eligibility for licensure.
