The team is responsible for strengthening the company's long-term trust, credibility, and impact across Washington State, while also driving employee giving and volunteerism across the world. Its flagship program, Microsoft Give, generated more than $250M in giving in fiscal year 2026, including the company match, and more than 1.2M volunteer hours, supporting more than 36,000 nonprofits worldwide. Employee engagement at Microsoft's scale cannot be run from the center alone. To reach 220,000 employees, it must be carried by the business groups, regions, and employee networks closest to them. The Global Employee Engagement team is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Activation & Enablement to lead that go-to-market motion. This is an enabling role: it equips teams across the enterprise with the systems, tools, content, playbooks, and AI-powered resources they need to run giving and volunteering themselves, so the team can scale its programs, unlock new opportunities, and partner even more successfully across Microsoft. The role also owns how Microsoft Give shows up to employees, from the content on the Microsoft Give site to driving signature recognition moments and initiatives. This is an opportunity to bring a marketing and communications mindset to one of the most recognized employee engagement programs in the world. The Senior Program Manager works with senior leaders across CELA and the company, shapes how a global program reaches employees in every country where Microsoft operates, and defines what the next generation of personalized enablement looks like at scale. The Senior Program Manager will report to the Senior Director, Global Employee Engagement, on the Washington State & Global Employee Engagement team. The position will be based at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, Washington. ResponsibilitiesEnablement Tools & Content Own the content on the Microsoft Give site and manage how the team's content and tools are distributed, so employees and partner teams can find what they need and act. Design and maintain the playbooks, toolkits, and self-service resources that let teams plan and run their own campaigns, events, and volunteer experiences. Integrate AI and other productivity tools into how content and resources are created, personalized, and delivered, so enablement scales without scaling the team. Develop storytelling tools and guidance, in partnership with cross-functional teams, that help employees and nonprofit partners share their impact authentically and on brand and gather feedback to continuously improve the resources they rely on. Lead the team's Viva Engage community, keeping employees informed, inspired, and connected to ways to give and volunteer between campaign moments. Go-to-Market & Business Integration Partner with Global Employee Engagement leadership on the go-to-market approach for the team's programs and campaigns: define the audiences, messages, channels, and moments that bring giving and volunteering to employees across the enterprise. Partner with priority business groups, regions, and employee networks to embed giving and volunteering in how they already work, so activation is led by the business rather than routed through the central team. Serve as a trusted advisor to partner teams, understanding their priorities and translating them into engagement plans and resources. Recognition & Signature Events In partnership with HR and Communications, design recognition and incentive programs that make employee generosity visible and celebrated. Lead the planning and production of signature recognition events, including galas and flagship moments, from concept and run-of-show through execution and follow-up. Plan and deliver brand moments, from campaign launches to relaunch, in collaboration with the wider team. Campaign Calendar & Champion Networks Build and manage the integrated campaign and activation calendar for campus, Washington State, and global moments, so campaigns, events, and communications reinforce one another. Support employee champion networks with the training, resources, and communications they need to activate locally year-round. Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, and define the measures that show the reach and value of enablement. QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree AND 3+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree AND 6+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years work experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropies, corporate affairs, government affairs, business and international development, or related area OR equivalent experience. Background in marketing, communications, or campaign management, with experience bringing programs to market across a large, matrixed organization. 3+ years' experience managing corporate social responsibility (CSR), social impact, or employee engagement programs. Demonstrated experience building enablement resources, such as playbooks, toolkits, and self-service content, for distributed teams or volunteer and champion networks. Experience managing web content and content distribution, including working in content management systems and coordinating with design and digital teams. Experience planning and producing events, including galas or other large recognition events, and designing recognition or incentive programs with HR. Hands-on fluency with AI and productivity tools for creating, personalizing, and distributing content, and curiosity about how they can extend a small team's reach. Excellent communicator and storyteller, with experience leading or enabling grassroots or employee-led campaigns. Experience participating in employee giving and/or volunteering programs. Corporate Social Responsibility IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,800 - $204,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $138,400 - $223,300 per year.
