About the job Production Supervisor
AUTONOMY
- Supervise and support a team of production technicians on the plant floor
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and timelines are met
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures - safety is always the top priority
- Monitor the nylon/polymer production process and address any issues or deviations in a timely manner
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and other departments to keep operations running smoothly
- Track production data and report on key metrics to plant leadership
- Train, coach, and develop team members to build a strong, capable crew
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- 5+ years of experience in chemical, polymer, or industrial manufacturing (nylon or polymerization experience is a plus, but not required)
- 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role - you've led people before and know how to get the best out of a team
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, safety compliance, and production workflows
- Strong communicator - comfortable talking to both your team on the floor and leadership in the office
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues and make sound decisions under pressure
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track production data and meet deadlines
- A hands-on, lead-from-the-floor management style
- Experience with polymerization, nylon resin, or specialty chemical manufacturing
- Familiarity with SAP or similar manufacturing/ERP systems
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field - not required, but a plus
