Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locums opportunity in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position is for night shifts only and requires ABEM certification. The physician will provide 24-hour emergency department coverage in a high-acuity hospital setting with comprehensive specialty and ancillary support.

Emergency Department Volume: Approximately 100 patients per day

The Emergency Department is supported by a broad range of hospital services, including:

Advanced surgical and operating room capabilities

Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care/Step-Down Unit

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Obstetrics and maternity services, including perinatology

Cardiac services, including catheterization, coronary interventions, electrophysiology, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation

Advanced imaging, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine

Inpatient behavioral health services

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy

Surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, ENT, urology, oncology, vascular, gynecology, and robotic surgery

Requirements

ABEM certification required

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine

ATLS

ACLS

PALS

Active Virginia medical license
