Position Overview Position: Clinical Intern (1st or 2nd Year master’s degree in counseling/social work) Location: Boulder, CO Reports to: Clinical Program Director Work Environment: Adolescent Residential Treatment Center Our Mission At Sandstone Care, we believe in empowering the next generation of clinical professionals. Our behavioral health treatment program specializes in helping adolescents and young adults overcome substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. About the Internship We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling or social work to join our team as a Clinical Intern. This is an unpaid internship/practicum opportunity where you will gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic, supportive environment. We value professionalism, ethical practice, and a commitment to continuous learning, and we encourage those who complete their practicum with us to continue on for their clinical internship hours. Key Responsibilities Support clients' recovery journey by contributing to treatment goals and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings and collaborate with experienced professionals. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, prepare paperwork, and manage billing responsibilities in a timely manner. Work under direct supervision, seeking guidance and adhering to ethical standards. Co‑ordinate care with clients, families, and other providers, ensuring clear, compassionate communication. Qualifications Current enrollment in a master’s in counseling or social work program. Strong organizational skills and commitment to high‑quality clinical documentation. Professional attitude, self‑awareness, and a strong sense of ethical practice. Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate care. Passion for therapeutic work and commitment to developing therapeutic competence in a multidisciplinary setting. Requirements Availability to commit 15–20 hours per week, including at least one evening per week. CPR certification strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within first 30 days.
