Sanitation Supervisor

Sanitation Program ManagerPosition is responsible for overseeing, maintaining and reporting on site Sanitation programs and employees. Ensures necessary sanitations (changeovers) across all three shifts are being performed, appropriate staff and time are allotted, training and documentation remains up to date. Reports ongoing activities with potential opportunities for improvement to upper management while keeping food safety and process efficiencies in mind. Must be flexible, execute by assigned due dates, and have a growth mindset.Responsibilities of the Position:Train employees to work in safe mannerOversee Sanitation Assistant Supervisors and Team Leads, provide guidance on daily expectations and sanitations (changeovers).Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Maintenance and Quality to prepare sanitations and cleaning validationsCreate, update and provide training and guidance to Production and Sanitation teams on what and how the sanitation should be performed, and documented expectationsCreate and revise documents including but not limited to Line Clearance Sheets, SSOPs, Work Instructions, standard work, training videos and production line guidance bindersMonitor, trend and improve ATP and allergen dataMonitor and report on sanitation hours through staff data, Kaizen events and time studiesSchedule, plan, and audit planned maintenance of sanitation equipment such as parts washers, color-coded utensils and moreAudit, react and improve the Tooling Inventory, 5-S, parts washer usage, manual cleaning and other processes of sanitationEnforce company rules, policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, discipline, cooperation and teamworkBe punctual, attentive and active in business meetingsAdhere to and train on CW's Pathogen Procedures, including but not limited to Allergen Control and Facility Color Coding proceduresPerform other duties and improvement projects as assigned by ManagementKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of basic sanitation principles, allergen programs, and preventing foodborne illnessBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusIntermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelEducation and Experience:Bachelor of Science in food science or related field2 or more years in a production/operations food manufacturing environment required, 1 year of previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing setting preferredExperience with Sanitation, HACCP, PCQI and SQF are recommended.Must have demonstrated leadership experienceWorking Conditions:Time will vary between an office and production environment.Wet, dry or dusty work environments during sanitation and production periodsThis position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the businessClimb ladders and comfortable working with heightsPhysical Requirements:Operate standard office equipmentMust be comfortable between a mix of active physical work or extended time at a deskReach with hands and armsAble to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 8 hours a day and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work between an office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees.
