This Attorney will have experience with plaintiff-side personal injury, elder abuse, and employment litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.Offer:Salary range: $115,000-$185,000+, contingent on experience12 paid holidays annually10 days of paid vacation annually6 days of sick leave annuallyMedical insurance - (paid for by the firm)401(k) with 4% fully vested safe-harbor company matchTraining and continuing education budgetRegular firm eventsCompany-issued laptop replaced every 3 years, becoming personal property thereafterOccasional access to premium event tickets and suite experiences based on availabilityQualifications:Holds an active license in good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaHolds a JD from an ABA-accredited law schoolBrings 2-3+ years of civil litigation experience, plaintiff-side preferredHas hands-on experience taking and defending depositionsDemonstrates law and motion experience in California state courtPossesses strong legal writing and oral advocacy skillsManages a caseload independently as a self-starter while remaining responsive to the lead attorneyResponsibilities:Draft complaints, demand letters, written discovery, and discovery responses on plaintiff-side personal injury, elder abuse, and employment law mattersHandle all aspects of law and motion, including drafting, opposing, and arguing motions in state and federal courtTake depositions of defendants, treating physicians, and retained expertsDefend depositions of plaintiffs and prepare clients thoroughly for their testimonyPrepare lay witnesses, treating providers, and experts for deposition and trialWork directly with retained experts including medical, biomechanical, economic, life care planning, and accident reconstruction professionals to develop case theory and damagesReview and analyze medical records, imaging, and provider reports, identifying mechanism of injury and causation issuesDevelop case strategy in collaboration with the senior litigation attorney and execute on it independentlyAttend hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and settlement conferencesMaintain clear, timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the internal team
