Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed PICU setting, maintaining ratios of 1 RN to 1–2 patients (PICU) and 1 RN to 2–3 patients (Stepdown)
• Perform and assist with procedures including IV starts, catheterizations, central line dressing changes, trach care, tube feeding and placement, and holding for LPs
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including working 3 weekends per 6-week schedule; float to Peds and NICU as needed
• Operate Alaris pumps and other unit-specific equipment in accordance with facility policies

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of PICU-specific experience
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
• Ability to work night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) and meet weekend scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with hemodynamic and ICP monitoring in a pediatric critical care environment
• Familiarity with ventilator management in a pediatric population
• Prior float experience to Peds or NICU settings
