Emergency Communication Specialist (LifeFlight), Variable Shifts - $5,000 Sign on Bonus

Organization LifeFlight OEC Job Summary FlightCom provides seamless communication between air medical crews, hospitals and emergency personnel. FlightCom specialists field calls, provide flight coordination, flight following and logistical support. All communication specialists receive specialized training. Responsibilities include flight coordination, ground and event communications coordination, providing information and emergency notifications to customers, working with advanced communications systems, practicing continuous professional development and excellent customer service, and providing proactive operational support of the department. Preferred: 911 Dispatch experience. Position Hours Shift: Various shifts (must be available to work holidays and weekends) Sign-on Bonus $5,000 Sign‑on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The bonus is only available for full‑time positions. Key Responsibilities Performs and documents safe, efficient, and accurate flight coordination. Understands the operations and applications of all communication equipment. Communicates information and emergency notifications to customers in an efficient, concise, and courteous manner. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Position Qualifications Certifications : LIC – Emergency Medical Technicians Basic – Licensure – Others Work Experience : Relevant work experience. Experience Level : Less than 1 year. Education : High School Diploma or GED.
