Full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity in Nashville, TN

Nashville Veterinary Specialists is looking to add Licensed Veterinary Technicians to our Overnight Emergency Team!

Compensation: $21 - $33/hr, based on experience. Additional $4.50 shift and weekend differentials available.

Schedule: Consistent, Three 12-hour shifts per week. Night Shift: 6pm – 6am

About You: You are an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and truly want to make a difference.

Requirements for the Role:

• Minimum of 3 years working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, preferably in emergency medicine. 

• Have experience in all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.

• Advanced skill set includes (preferred, not required): central line placement, abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis, feeding tube placement, urinary catheter placement 

• Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
