Social Content Creator

Playology makes science-backed dog toys with embedded scent technology. It’s our flagship brand and will make up roughly 85% of this role. You’ll also create evergreen content for Grrreen, Anivida, Hound2O, and design LAB, four distinct pet brands spanning sustainability, hydration, outdoor adventure, and licensed entertainment. We’re looking for a creator who can help our brands break through. Someone with a strong creative point of view who knows the difference between content that fills a calendar and content people actually want to watch. How This Role Works You’ll report to ourSenior Manager, Brand Communications, who sets the creative direction. From there, you own the execution, including concepting, locations, shot lists, filming, editing, and final delivery. This is a creator role, not a publishing or paid media role. Scheduling, community management, and media buying are handled by other team members. Your job is to make great work. We’re looking for a creative partner, not a set of hands. Take a brief and make it better. Have opinions. Push back when something won’t work. Take feedback without taking it personally. Bring the idea you believe in and be able to explain why. You should be equally comfortable creating polished product content and rough, native social content, and know when each is right. When the light is bad, the location falls through, or the dog decides it’s done for the day, you figure it out and finish the work. What You’ll Do Create Shoot, edit, and deliver content against a monthly calendar developed by our Content Strategist from brief through delivery, including scheduling, product prep, locations, and asset organization in ClickUp. Ideate: Develop relevant content ideas, sell them internally and plan the execution. Create: Appear on camera for demos, reviews, interviews, reactions, day-in-the-life content, and recurring series. Determine where external content generate is merited and action. Scale: Batch higher-polish evergreen content for our supporting brands several times a year. Optimize: Develop hooks that earn attention in the first few seconds & on-screen copy that add to the content. What You Bring 2+ years creating short-form social content for a brand or your own channels with demonstrated traction. A portfolio of work we can watch. Personal projects absolutely count. This includes evidence that you can make great content without a big budget or extensive direction. Genuine confidence and comfort on camera. Instinctive understanding of how to create and capitalize on trends, particularly as it applies to the pet parent. Strong editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar, with an understanding of the full production pipeline. Experience using AI creative tools and the judgment to know when they improve the work and when they don’t. Nice to Have You have pets and understand the pet-parent audience and / or creator space firsthand. UGC or creator program experience. Photography and product styling experience.
