Community Specialist - Console

Pearl Abyss America, Inc . - the team behind  Black Desert and  Crimson Desert as well as the upcoming titles  DokeV and  Plan8- is seeking a high-performing, creative, results-oriented and quality-obsessed  Community Specialist to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of customers across all platforms (PC, Console) in North America.

Our team is looking for a  Community Specialist with an  entrepreneurial spirit and  relentless tenacity to get things done. You'll be empowered to be an advocate for players' voices and a liaison between them and the development team – constantly managing the conversations, feedback, and proactively building bridges and trust within the community.

Our  Community Specialists genuinely love video games, the players, and their communities; their passion for games helps them improve the quality of the game's live service. In this role, you will actively interact with the players both in-game and in the community – working closely with other team members in the live service department.

LOCATION : Manhattan Beach, CA (on-site)

JOB TYPE : Full-time

PAY RANGE : $21 - $25 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan social postings for official Black Desert social channels and interact with players on the platforms
• Create or assist in creating visual assets and copywriting for social postings
• Respond to live game issues that occur in-game and write up appropriate notices on the forum and social channels when necessary
• Create event plans for the player communities and execute them during live service
• Work closely with the Content Production team to create community content (ex: short-form videos)
• Work closely with Live Service Specialists, Customer Support, and other Community Specialists/Managers to solicit feedback and suggestions for game improvement from the community
• Monitor and regularly report on live-service issues and player feedback
• Monitor regularly live-streaming channels and social channels, and work closely with partner influencers
• Coordinate and support the community moderators to uphold community guidelines and enhance player interactions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of work experience in the video game industry, especially in community management, customer support, QA, or related fields
• Experience in social media management (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge and gameplay of MMORPG games
• Prior experience interacting with gaming communities (forums, social media user groups, etc.)
• Experience in social content creation and posting, calendar publishing, asset creation, copywriting, reporting, and analytics
• Strong customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong written communication skills for announcements or forum notices, with a great sense of humor
• Ability to quickly problem solve, communicate, and deliver the best results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow
• Professional and mature demeanor, along with strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or any equivalent work experience
• Experience as a content creator, cosplayer, or live streamer within the video game community
• Graphic design or video production/editing skills
• Avid Black Desert player
• Passion for video games with an interest in MMORPGs
• Bilingual in English/Japanese or English/Korean is a plus
