Grounds WorkerGrounds Worker Job Goal: To maintain all school grounds through regular mowing and maintenance to all plants and shrubs throughout the year. Job Type: Classified Job Class Code: 7626 Position Type: Hourly Reports to: Lead Grounds Worker Terms of Employment: Compensation will be based on 260 contract days on the board-approved 108 salary schedule. This position requires an 8-hour workday. Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or G.E.D. Experience in operating mowing equipment. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Push, pull or lift 40 pounds; kneel and reach above your head. Performance Responsibilities: Performs day to day grounds tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Keeps supervisor informed at all times of problems encountered in completing their assignments. Apprise supervisor of any equipment needs or breakdowns regarding grounds equipment. Promptly reports to the supervisor any job-related injuries. Promptly reports to the supervisor any unsafe condition encountered on the school grounds that would potentially endanger employees or students. Performs all other reasonable duties within the scope of the grounds maintenance area as may be assigned by the supervisor.
