Job Code: 2026-CSCA-013 Location: Waukesha Department: Day Report Center FT/PT Status: Internship Job Responsibilities: Position Summary: Learnthe day-to-day operations of the Waukesha Day Report Center (DRC) program. Astime allows, there may be other opportunities to learn and observe the OWI andDrug Treatment Court programs. Essential Functions: Observe and participate in all essential functions of the Waukesha DayReport Center case manager position to gain a full understanding of theposition. Participatein a range of evidence-based services to provide structure and accountability,including but not limited to: facilitating new intakes and explaining theprogram components to persons served, face-to-face supervision appointmentswith people to support compliance with all program requirements and terms ofsupervision, identify and provide people with community-based services forsupportive services based on need, as well as conduct skill building activitiesduring supervision appointments, working with local treatment providers toensure enrollment in and compliance with treatment, and support people withcompliance with all related fees (program, court, treatment, and electronicmonitoring). Engagein internal team meetings and use professional judgement to makerecommendations for responses to violations. Make collaborativedecisions for treatment provider referrals based on people’s needs and supportand ensure accountability and compliance with provider standards. Enterappropriate tracking in the WCS AWARDS and CORE databases, ensuring timelyandcomplete data entry. Make collaborativerecommendations to the Court, District Attorney’s Office, and the Department ofCorrections Agents for response to violations. Ensureaccurate and timely written and electronic files and court communication. Coordinatewith the Electronic Monitoring staff and ensure routine check-ins forinspection of the bracelet and payment of fees, including addressingoutstanding fees owed by people served. Job Qualifications: Seeking students in the human services field at the associate's, bachelor's or master's level. Other Job Information (if applicable): Anticipated Duration: Minimum of one semester and at least eight hours per week. It is anticipated that most work hours will be between 8:00 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on Friday. Work Relationship and Scope: Reports to the DRC Supervisor and the Post Conviction Services Program Manager. Has contact with a wide variety of individuals including individuals with criminal charges, courthouse and jail personnel, various criminal justice agencies and other WCS staff. Working Conditions: Most of the work will be done in the WCS Waukesha office at 414 W. Moreland Blvd, Suite 203, in Waukesha. WCS does require a background check for this position.
